Been waiting a while to tell you guys about this one.<\/p>\n<p>Last year, while at ReaderCON, I read a few books, one of which was an anthology called <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><a style=\"color: #0000ff;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.amazon.com\/Tick-Tock-Seven-Tales-Time-ebook\/dp\/B01AC1H2E8\/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&amp;qid=1488831793&amp;sr=8-1&amp;keywords=Tick+Tock%3A+Seven\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>TICK TOCK: \u00a0Seven Tales of Time<\/strong><\/a><\/span>. It was published by Wicked Ink Books. Most of the authors in the anthology I hadn&#8217;t heard of (shame on me&#8211;I&#8217;ve since corrected that) but I read all seven stories in about an hour.<\/p>\n<p>Very different, but very, very good.<\/p>\n<p>For 2017, the good people at WIB were putting together another anthology. There would be seven stories from the original authors (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.amazon.com\/Corinne-OFlynn\/e\/B00OLI5HZU\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Corinne O&#8217;Flynn<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.amazon.com\/Kristi-Helvig\/e\/B00DF8B4P4\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Kristi Helvig<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.amazon.com\/Rebecca-Taylor\/e\/B00D97X9M2\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Rebecca Taylor<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.amazon.com\/Sue-Duff\/e\/B00O5XMI2G\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Sue Duff<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.amazon.com\/Shawn-McGuire\/e\/B00L0FJDFW\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Shawn McGuire<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.amazon.com\/Wendy-Terrien\/e\/B01AHF0AWK\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Wendy Terrien<\/a>, and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.amazon.com\/A.-G.-Henley\/e\/B0073XCFG4\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">A.G. Henley<\/a>)\u00a0plus two additional stories picked from a series of submissions.<\/p>\n<p>The theme for the &#8220;new nine&#8221; would be stories inspired by song.<\/p>\n<p>I decided to send in something that I&#8217;d been toying with since the 90&#8217;s&#8211;a story called &#8220;Thanksgiving in the Park.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Long story, short: My story and one by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.amazon.com\/Calypso-Kane\/e\/B00D93SG24\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Calypso Kane<\/a> were accepted.<\/p>\n<p>So.
