This will be the eighth #WordCountPodcast<\/strong> Halloween Spook-tacular Special!<\/p>\n

We’ll be exploring\u00a0psychological horror this time around<\/strong>…while I would prefer stories NOT set in a mental hospital or insane asylum, I never say no to a good, creepy horror tale.<\/p>\n

DEADLINE: I must receive your submission by Friday 26th October 2018\u00a0<\/strong>by MIDNIGHT Eastern time.<\/p>\n

THE DETAILS: The work must be an original psychological horror story.<\/strong><\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

Do NOT exceed SEVEN minutes.<\/p>\n

As this is a podcast, I need to receive a file of YOU, a friend or multiple friends reading (singing or otherwise performing) your work. MP3 FORMAT ONLY, and please attach your MP3 file to an e-mail or contact me for a Dropbox link.<\/p>\n

Your submission MUST<\/strong><\/span> also contain the following:<\/p>\n

\u2022 Your pen name<\/strong>
\n\u2022 Your latest bio (DO NOT ASSUME I HAVE YOUR LATEST)<\/strong>
\n\u2022 Links to your website(s) \u2013 Include your personal site, Facebook Fanpage etc.<\/strong>
\n\u2022 Your Twitter handle (if you have one)<\/strong>
\n\u2022 A photo of you I can use for the show notes<\/strong>
\n\u2022 At the end of your recording, please add \u201cThis is author of and you\u2019re listening to The Word Count Podcast.\u201d<\/strong>
\n\u2022 Permission to use your recording in the podcast.<\/strong>

NOW THE MONEY PART. <\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

I will pay $50.00 USD via\u00a0<\/strong>PayPal for each accepted story up to\u00a0THIRTEEN<\/span>\u00a0original stories in total.<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

One Submission per person. NO Reprints and NO multiple submissions. It MUST be an original story you have written and have rights to. If you DO NOT follow the guidelines, your story will be rejected out of hand.\u00a0Acceptance criteria is up to me, and I’ve had strokes, so it might change day to day. You must have a P<\/strong><\/span>ayPal account.<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

Payment will be made upon e-mail acceptance of your story and the offer of payment is only valid until 27 October, 2018.<\/p>\n
