Forest of Wonder<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

The month of May is one of my favorite\u00a0times of the year. Life is blossoming everywhere, the days grow longer and the sun begins to warm my old bones. I’ve always thought of this month as the “month of the fae” so I wanted a fitting, magical landscape <\/strong>picture to go with that sense of wonder:<\/p>\n

The guidelines for submission to the show are below\u2013and anyone can send in a story for consideration. \u00a0I\u2019m always open to new writers and new ideas.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

I would love to hear from you, either with a story submission or via social media. I have a Facebook Page that could use a few \u2018likes.\u2019 The more listeners and contributors we have, the better the shows can be.<\/p>\n

DEADLINE: I must receive your submission by Saturday 25 May\u00a0<\/strong>2019<\/strong> by MIDNIGHT Eastern time.<\/p>\n

THE DETAILS: The work must be an original story in English based on the picture theme above.<\/p>\n

Do NOT exceed SEVEN minutes.<\/p>\n

As this is a podcast, I need to receive a file of YOU, a friend or multiple friends reading (singing or otherwise performing) your work. MP3 FORMAT ONLY, and please attach your MP3 file to an e-mail or contact me for a Dropbox link.<\/p>\n

Your submission MUST also contain the following:<\/p>\n

\n\u2022 Your latest bio (DO NOT ASSUME I HAVE YOUR LATEST)
\n\u2022 Links to your website(s) \u2013 Include your personal site, Facebook Fan page, etc.

\n\u2022 A photo of you I can use for the show notes
\n\u2022 At the end of your recording, please add \u201cThis is the author of […] and you\u2019re listening to The Word Count Podcast.<\/em><\/span>\u201d
\n\u2022 Permission to use your recording in the podcast.
\n\u2022 PLEASE Make sure you have included ALL ARTIFACTS I have asked for. Do not assume I can \u201cGet your picture from the internet\u201d or can \u201cPull your bio from your web page.\u201d<\/p>\n

I do reserve the right NOT to post your submission, but I\u00a0will\u00a0communicate that to you should it be the case. I add the \u2018Explicit\u2019 tag to the \u2018cast, so if your story uses adult themes or language that\u2019s ok\u2014but it should be necessary for the story.<\/p>\n
