You want to write a ghost story a la A Christmas Carol<\/i>? Go for it! An erotic tale of lovers reuniting for a Chanukah tryst? Make it happen! A piece about a Red Ryder bb-gun (you\u2019ll shot your eye out!)? –bring it on, says I!<\/span><\/p>\n

Make up your own theme and tell the listeners the story you WANT to tell for the holiday.<\/span><\/p>\n

PROMPT: A Holiday Story<\/span><\/p>\n

GENRE: Any.<\/span><\/p>\n

DEADLINE: I must receive your submission by MIDNIGHT (Eastern Time) Friday 16th December 2011<\/b><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

THE DETAILS:The work must be an original of yours. It could be a poem, short story, song—anything really as long as you write something based on the stated theme (“A Holiday Story”).  Do NOT exceed ten minutes.  As this is a podcast, I need to receive a file of YOU, a friend or multiple friends reading (singing or otherwise performing) your work. MP3 FORMAT<\/b><\/span>, please attach your MP3 file to an e-mail. The e-mail should also contain the following:<\/span><\/p>\n

Your pen name<\/i><\/span><\/p>\n

Your bio<\/i><\/span><\/p>\n

Links to your websites<\/i><\/span><\/p>\n

Your Twitter name (if you have one)<\/i><\/span><\/p>\n

A photo I can use for the show notes<\/i><\/span><\/p>\n

Permission to use your recording in the podcast<\/i><\/span><\/p>\n

At the end of the recording, please add the following: \u201cThe is <YOUR NAME> author of <YOUR WORK(s)> and you\u2019re listing to The Word Count Podcast Holiday Spectacular\u201d<\/i><\/span><\/p>\n

I do reserve the right NOT to post your submission, but will communicate that to you should it be the case.
