{"id":834,"date":"2013-03-16T12:08:10","date_gmt":"2013-03-16T12:08:10","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/rbwood.com\/dir\/index.php\/2013\/03\/16\/twcep29prompt\/"},"modified":"2013-03-16T12:08:10","modified_gmt":"2013-03-16T12:08:10","slug":"twcep29prompt","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/rbwood.com\/dir\/twcep29prompt\/","title":{"rendered":"YOU Choose the Prompt &#8211; The Word Count Episode 29"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"color: #c0c0c0;\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" alignright size-full wp-image-833\" style=\"margin: 5px; float: right;\" alt=\"aavote\" height=\"252\" width=\"200\" src=\"http:\/\/rbwood.com\/dir\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/03\/aavote.jpg\" title=\"\">Seven stories last time!&nbsp; It looks like the Word Count Podcast is back to stay!<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #c0c0c0;\">(You can check out ALL the past shows via <a href=\"https:\/\/itunes.apple.com\/podcast\/the-word-count\/id392550989\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">iTunes<\/a> or by heading to my <a href=\"http:\/\/thewordcount.libsyn.com\/webpage\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Libsyn page<\/a>. )<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #c0c0c0;\">I\u2019m lining up a few tweaks to the show in the coming months\u2014from a dedicated show webpage (with a bit more flair than the Libsyn site) to trying out a few suggestions I\u2019ve received from some of the \u201cWord Count Irregulars\u201d\u2014authors who participate on the show on a semi-frequent basis.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #c0c0c0;\">But for the next show\u2014episode 29\u2014we\u2019ll do things the old fashioned way.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #c0c0c0;\">I&#8217;ve setup up a poll off to the left with a choice of FIVE possible prompts for The Word Count episode 29.&nbsp; You know the drill\u2014vote for your favorite by making a selection and clicking on the \u201cvote\u201d button.&nbsp; Remember to check the results to confirm your vote counted as sometimes the interwebs are as touchy as a menstruating cougar.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #c0c0c0;\">WAIT.&nbsp; You don&#8217;t KNOW what the Word Count Podcast is?&nbsp; Well, read ON dear sinner!<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ffff00;\"><strong>What is The Word Count Podcast?<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #c0c0c0;\">It is a free broadcast by writers for writers.&nbsp; Simply put, a theme for each show is announced via this site, Twitter and Facebook and writers are given a week or two to write AND RECORD their stories based on said theme.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ffff00;\"><strong>Why?<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #c0c0c0;\">Why not, says I.&nbsp; It\u2019s a great way to practice writing and public speaking.&nbsp; It\u2019s another way for writers to get their work \u201cout there.\u201d&nbsp; And I love to meet fellow authors and have a blast putting the show together.&nbsp; It\u2019s just that simple.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #c0c0c0;\">Now for the voting!<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #c0c0c0;\">Again, to the <span style=\"color: #ffff00;\"><strong>LEFT<\/strong><\/span>, I&#8217;ve posted five potential prompts for the next Word Count.&nbsp; The poll will remain open for the weekend, and close out <span style=\"color: #ffff00;\"><strong>midnight the 17<sup>th<\/sup> of March 2013<\/strong><\/span>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #c0c0c0;\">I think there are a few good ones to choose from&#8230;so vote often an early and get your friends to help YOU pick the theme for the next Word Count!<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #c0c0c0;\">Peace<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Seven stories last time!&nbsp; It looks like the Word Count Podcast is back to stay!
