Mike Allen edits and publishes Mythic Delirium Books in Roanoke, Virginia, with his wife Anita and not-so-troublesome cat Pandora. His short stories have been gathered in three collections: Unseaming; The Spider Tapestries; and Aftermath of an Industrial Accident; with a fourth, Slow Burn, now in the works. His first dark fantasy novel, The Black Fire Concerto, appeared in 2013, with his second novel, Trail of Shadows, forthcoming from Broken Eye Books. A two-time finalist for the World Fantasy Award and the Shirley Jackson Award, Mike has also been a Nebula Award nominee and a three-time Rhysling Award winner for poetry. You can follow Mike’s exploits as a writer at descentintolight.com and as an editor at mythicdelirium.com.

Anita Allen is a reclusive artist and writer who has won awards for art and costume design. She has several poetry and short story publications but vastly prefers editing above all else. Anita currently edits for Mythic Delirium Books, where she’s had a hand in many award-nominated and award-winning publications. (Tanith Lee once referred to her skill at short story arrangement in collections as “genius.”) When she’s not editing, she pursues her own creative endeavors, going off on strange adventures or venturing deep in the woods to photograph fungi and collect plant specimens.  She lives a relatively quiet life in the Blue Ridge Mountains with her beloved husband and adorable kitty.
