Kristi Petersen Schoonover has always truly believed it’s bad luck to leave a fortune cookie unopened. Her stories have appeared in over a hundred publications, and she and her husband, Nathan, are currently writing the screenplay for Candlewood: Jerusalem (working title)—sequel to the upcoming 2023 film Candlewood—which will be produced by Lillanonah LLC from Bandstand Pictures, directed by Myke Fuhrman, and is based on her unpublished novel, Lake Rites.
